Description:

The sensor module is adaptable to ambient light. It has a pair of infrared transmitting and receiving tube. Transmitting tube sends out a certain frequency IR which will be reflected when detecting obstacles (reflecting surface) and received by receiving tube. After processing with comparator circuit, green light is on and signal output interface outputs digital signal (a low voltage level signal).  Detection distance can be adjusted with the potentiometer, effective distance range 2~60cm, working voltage 3.3V to 5V.


Features:
The detection range of the sensor can be adjusted with potentiometer, little interference, easy assembly and use. It can be widely used for robot obstacle avoidance, obstacle avoidance car,  assembly line, black and white line tracking and many other occasions. When signal module detects obstacles ahead, the green indicator light on the circuit board is on and at the same time the OUT port outputs low level signal; detection distance can be adjusted with potentiometer, clockwise to increase detection distance;counter-clockwise to reduce detection distance. Active infrared reflection detecting sensor, so the target reflectivity and shape is the key of the detection range.Black color has the minimum detection range, white has the maximum; small objects have short detection range, large objects have long detection range. Sensor module output port OUT can be directly connected to micro-controller IO port, also can drive a 5V relay directly. Comparator uses the LM393 chips, stable performance.
